Have messages sent only to me appear in color...

This guide will help you to sort those messages from the "noise" that you get from being on distribution lists or being on the CC or BCC lines of messages through colorization.

When you start Outlook in the morning to check your e-mail, do you want to know at a glance which messages were sent only to you? That's usually the stuff you care most about, right? You can easily find which messages were sent only to you by coloring those messages. This helps you to sort those messages from the "noise" that you get from being on distribution lists or being on the Cc or Bcc lines of messages.

To  get color messages sent only to you

  • Select View from the menu, then View Settings from the ribbon bar

  • On the Change View panel titled “Advanced View Settings”, click Conditional Formatting

  • Click Add

  • Type a name into the name box

  • Click Condition

  • Click Sent to

  • pick your name, Click Sent to

  • Click Where I am the only person on the To line

  • Click Ok

  • Click Font

  • Pick your color

  • click Ok, click Ok
